Common Name The Matto Grosso Pelexia [A state of west-central Brazil]

Found in Matto Grosso state of Brazil in damp fields as a medium sized, warm growing terrestrial that is leafless at blooming occurring in the spring on an erect, terminal, glabrous below, and becoming shortly glandular hairy above, peduncle 10.8 to 12.8" [27 to 32 cm] long, provided with 8 to 12, well spaced, amplexicaul, acuminate to acute, sheathing bracts, rachis to 3.2" 8 cm] long, 12 to 16 flowered inflorescence with shortly glandular-hairy lanceolate, shorter than the flowers floral bracts and carrying erect-patent, whitish green flowers.
