Found in Parana and Rio Grande do Sul states of Brazil as a small sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial orchid with a few, oblong-lanceolate, acuminate, white margined, the wide base vaginate and subsessile below into the base leaves that blooms in the spring on a terminal, erect, peduncle to 10.8" [27 cm] long, provided with 3 to 4, basal, oblong, sharply acute, leaf-like sheathing bracts, rachis 2 to 2.3" [5 to 6 cm] long, distichously arranged, to 15 flowered inflorescence
