Found in New Guinea at elevations around 1100 meters as a mini-miniature to miniature sized, cool growing terrestrial with oblong tubers giving rise to an erect, thin stem carrying 2, basal, patent to erect-patent, elliptic to ovate-lanceolate, acute to shortly acuminate, glabrous leaves that blooms in the winter on an elongate, subsecund, sublaxly few to 10 flowered inflorescence with erect, lanceolate to ovate-lanceolate, acuminate, glabrous bracts.
