Found in Fiji, New Caledonia, Tonga and Vanuatu at elevations of 160 to 600 meters as a medium sized, hot to warm growing terrestrial with narrow, ellipsoid-cylindrical tubers giving rise to an erect stem carrying in a terminal rosette, lanceolate, acute, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the summer on an erect, terminal, to 12" [30 cm] long overall, rachis to 8" [20 cm] long, 15 to 50 flowered inflorescence carrying greenish yellow to brownish yellow flowers.
