Common Name Ross' Peristeria {English Orchid Enthusiast in Italy 1800's]

Flower Size 1.2" [3 cm]

Found in Colombia, Venezuela Guyana?, Surinam and northern Brazil at elevations around 1500 meters as a medium sized, cool growing epiphyte with large ovate-elliptic pseudobulbs carrying erect leaves that blooms on a terminal, 6" [15 cm] long, densely 6 to 12 flowered inflorescenee with concave, narrowly ovate to oblong-elliptic, more or less obtuse to slightly acute, much shorter than the ovary floral bracts and carrying fleshy, red yellow to yellow orange with numerous, flesh to purple colored spots
