Common Name Wheatley's Peristylus [British Plant Collector in Vanuatu]

Found in Vanuatu at elevations of 750 to 1000 meters as a giant sized, warm growing terrestrial with an erect, leafy in the upper half, light green stem carrying about 6, lanceolate to oblanceolate, acuminate,spreading thin textured, dark green with darker venation, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the winter on an erect, terminal, rachis to 11.6" [29 cm] long, to 22" [55 cm] long overall, cylindrical, many [60] flowered inflorescence with linear-lanceolate, acuminate floral bracts.
