Phaius simulans Rolfe 1901

Inflorescence Photo by Lourens Grobler.

Common Name The Seems Like Phaius [Refers to it's simularity to P tuberculatus]

Flower Size

Found in northeastern Madagascar as an epiphtye which is the major distinction as well as having a relatively slender, elongate rhizome with smaller flowers and blooms in the spring and summer

This one does not agree with Cribb 2009 so use with caution, I await more information.

Synonyms Gastorchis simulans (Rolfe) Schltr. 1925; Phaius fragrans Grignan 1901
