Found in New Caledonia, Fiji, Tonga and Vanuata in forests in medium to deep shade at elevations around 550 meters as a medium to just large sized, hot to warm growing terrestrial with stout erect stems carrying 4 to 6, plicate, suberect, scattered along the stem, lanceolate-elliptic, acuminate, gradually narrowing below into the shortly petiolate base leaves that blooms in the winter on an erect, lateral, to 12" [30 cm] long, distantly few flowered inflorescence.
