Found in Java and Sumatra at elevations around 980 meters as a medium to large sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with 4 to 5, oblong, acute, basally clasping petiolate base leaves that blooms on an axillary, from the axil of one of the bottom-most sheaths, 12 to 40" [30 to 100 cm] long, 8 flowered inflorescence with broadly lanceolate, acute, falling early floral bracts
