Common Name The White Rose-Pink Phalaenopsis
Flower Size 3 to 4" [7.5 to 10 cm]
Found in the Philippines and is said to be a natural hybrid between P aphrodite and P schilleriana by Kew and others but the species occurs hundreds of miles north of P schilleriana habitat and is found at elevations way above the habit of P aphrodite. It flowers in the spring on a 30" [75 cm] long inflorescence and the flowers have a faint pink flush to the tepals.
The species has striking mottled foliage similar to P schlleriana but with a touch more silver. The species has been confused with the similar P philippinensis
