Common Name The Beautiful Renanthera

Flower Size .52 to .6" [1.3 to 1.5 cm] wide

Found in southwestern Yunnan Province of China and India in semi-evergreen, broadleaf forests at elevations of 1300 to 1600 meters as a small sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte with a short stem enveloped by persistent leaf sheaths carrying 2 to 4, sometimes deciduous, obliquely elliptic-oblong, acute, curved leaves that blooms in the late spring and early summer on 1 to 2, axillary, 4.8 to 8" [12 to 20 cm] long, pendulous, rachis 3.6 to 6.4" [9 to 16 cm] long, racemose to paniculate, basally single branched, loosely 15 to 35 flowered inflorescence with triangular, acute, persistent floral bracts.
