Common Name The Humped Pholidota

Found in Malaysia, Borneo, Java, Sumatra, Lesser Sunda Islands, Sulawesi, and the Solomon Islands in hill forests and lower montane mossy forests at elevations of 500 to 1700 meters as a small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with cylindrical, adpressed pseudobulbs carrying lanceolate, abruptly narrowing apically, acute, gradually narrowing below into the 1 to 2" [2.5 to 5 cm] petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall on an apical, arising on a newly arising pseudobulb, erect then nodding to pendulous, terete, 12" [30 cm] long, strongly fractiflex inflorescence with deciduous bracts that fall before blooming.
