Common Name Czerwiakow's Phragmipedium [Polish Botanist 1800's]

Found in Peru and Ecuador in wet montane forests on wet clay banks or in open clearings at elevations of 600 to 1450 meters as a medium sized, cool to warm growing terrestrial species from with a fan of several, dark green, shiny, linear, acute, conduplicate below into the clasping base leaves that blooms in the fall through spring on an erect, terminal, to at least 9.2" [23 cm], long, racemose, successively single, few [3] flowered inflorescence.
Distinguished by the flowers produced singly in succession, the sides of the cavity of the lip projecting into blunt horns, the crispate sepal and petal margins, the lightly involute, recurved, sparsely pubescent upper margin of the staminode and the broadly obtuse to nearly cuadrate lateral lobes of the staminode incurvewd to a blunt, shortly rounded apex.
