Common Name Hartweg's Phragmipedium [German Orchid Collector in Mexico 1800's]

Found in Pichincha province of Ecuador as a large sized, caespitose terrestrial with distichous,lorate, acute to acuminate leaves that blooms on an erect terminal, remostly 2 to 3 sheathed, loosely racemose above, to 36" [90 cm] tall, successively single, few flowered inflorescnece with suberect, navicular-lanceolate, compressed, acuminate floral bracts
CAUTION!! Often cited as a synonym of Phragmipedium longifolium , I have left it separate for now.
