Found in New Guinea on trees in forests at elevations around 1800 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte with conical pseudobulbs carrying 2, apical, suberect, elongate, narrowly linear, obtuse, minutely bilobed apically, narrowing below into the base leaves that blooms spring on an erect, peduncle thin, few bracted, as long as the leaf 3.2 to 5.56" [8 to 14 cm], rachis thin, to 6.4 to 11.2" [16 to 28 cm] long, subdensely many flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acuminate, equal to the ovary floral bracts.
Schlechter states that the flowers are white.
