Found in New Guinea on trees in forests at elevations around 1300 meters as a miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with well spaced, broadly ovoid pseudobulbs carrying 1 to 2, apical, suberect, lanceolate-ligulate, acute , narrowing below into the base leaf that blooms in the late winter and early spring on an erect, peduncle as long as the leaf, 3.5 to 4.8" [7 to 12 cm] long, rachis cylindric, suberect, sublaxly 20 to 25 flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acuminate, shorter than the ovary floral bracts.

Schlechter states that the flowers are white.
