Found in the Solomon Islands, New Caledonia, Fiji and Vanuatu in montane mossy cloud forests at an elevation of 800 to 2300 meters as a small sized, warm to cold growing epiphyte with proximate, ovoid pseudobulbs carrying a single, erect, linear to oblanceolate, apically round, gradually narrowing below into the conduplicate base leaf that blooms on an erect, basal, as long or just longer than the leaf, 4 to 8.8" [10 to 22 cm] long, loosely many flowered inflorescence.
