Found in New Guinea in montane forests at elevations of 900 to 3000 meters as a small sized, warm to cold growing epiphyte with globose pseudobulbs carrying 2, apical, ligulate, acute, gradually narrowing below into the base leaves that blooms in the winter and spring on a curved, distichous, sublaxly many flowered inflorescence with a few bracts and broadly elliptic, somewhat longer than the ovary floral bracts.

Schlechter states that the flowers are white
