Found in Malaysia, Java, Sumatra and Vietnam at elevations of 1000 to 1800 meters as a miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with a short stem carrying 6, linear, obliquely obtuse, apically cusped, narrowing towards the base and the apex leaves that blooms in the late winter on an axillary, longer than the leaves, to 8" [20 cm] long, fairly densely [despite the name] many flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acute floral bracts.
