Found in Sulawesi in montane forests and in agricultural areas at elevations of 1000 to 2500 meters as a small sized, warm to cold growing epiphyte with a fan of conduplicate, acute, basally clasping leaves that blooms in the late fall and early winter on an axillary, erect, densely many flowered inflorescence
Very similar to P densiflora and P laxiflora but differs in more rhombic petals and a papillose lip base and claw.
