Found in New Guinea on trees in forests at elevations around 1100 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with somewhat distant, subglobose pseudobulbs carrying 2, apical, erect-spreading, thin textured, narrowly oblanceolate-ligulate, subacute, narrowing below into the base leaves that blooms in the early summer on an erect, peduncle filiform, .8 to 1.4" [2 to 3.5 cm] long, few bracted, rachis thin, erect, laxly 10 to 15 flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acuminate, much shorter than the ovary floral bracts.
Schlechter states that the flowers are white and that this species has very thin textured leaves.
