Found in the Solomon Islands, New Caledonia, Norfolk Islands, Vanuatu, Fiji, Wallis and Futuna, and Samoa in dense humid rain or strand forests as a miniature sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with a very short stem carrying 5 to 8 extremely fleshy leaves arranged in a fan that blooms in the later spring summer and fall on an axillary, erect, shortly pedunculate, many flowered inflorescence carrying minute green flowers
