Found in Thailand, penninsular Malaysia, Borneo, Moluccas and Sulawesi in sand, lower montane oak & chestnut and moss forests as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte or occasional lithophyte on riverside rocks at elevations of 900 to 2000 meters with 1/2" between each ovoid, adnate to the rhizome pseudobulbs carrying one to two apical lanceolate, acute leaf with one smaller than the other that blooms on a terminal, 6.2" [18 cm] long, several flowered inflorescence with the flowers held in the upper 1/4.
