Found in Taiwan on tree trunks in forests or on rocks along streams at elevations below 1500 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte or lithophyte with tufted, ovoid globose pseudobulbs enveloped by membraneous sheaths and carrying narrowly oblong to narrowly elliptic, acute apically, contracted below into the convolute sheaths leaves that blooms in the late spring on a basal, slender, 12 to 20" [30 to 40 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence with 4 to 6 lax sheaths below and narrowly elliptic floral bracts.
