Found in the Bismarck archipelago on trees on the beach at elevations around 5 meters as a small sized, hot growing epiphyte that blooms in the late fall and early winter.

Schlechter states that the flowers are white. Similar to P micrantha but differs in the wider spreading leaves, the smaller flowers, the less ovate petals and the lip that is broader without 2 basal swellings.
