Found in the Solomon Islands, New Caledonia, Fiji, Vanuatu and Samoa in montane forests at elevations around sealevel to 1500 meters as a miniature sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte with clustered stems enveloped completely by leaf bases carrying 4 to 8, held in a fan, linear to linear-oblanceolate, obtuse leaves that blooms in the spring on a lateral, equal to or longer than the leaves, to 4.8" [12 cm] long, peduncle .4 to 1.6" [1 to 4 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence
