Found in the mountains of central Luzon the Phillipines in montane forests at elevations of 600 to 2200 meters as a warm to cold growing epiphyte with an erect, reduced stem enveloped by leaf bases carrying, linear leaves that blooms in the winter on an axillary, to 10" [to 25 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence
