Found in New Guinea and the Solomon Islands on trees in forests at elevations around 1200 meters as a mini-miniature to miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with somewhat distant, globose pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, elliptic, obtuse, narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall on an erect, peduncle few bracted, 2 to 3 times longer than the leaf, rachis arcuate, secund, to 2 to 4.2" [5 to 10.5 cm] long, subdensely several to 10 flowered inflorescence with ovate, acute, 2 to 3 times as long as the ovary floral bracts.
Schlechter states that the flowers are yellowish green with a white anther with brownish edges.
