Found in northeastern Madagascar in forests on rocks at elevations of 1000 to 1500 meters as a medium sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial or lithophyte with a basal, narrowly lanceolate leaf and another distantly above that blooms on a terminal, erect, successively 6 to 12 flowered inflorescence
