Found in northeastern Madagascar in lichen and mossy forests at elevations around 2000 meters as a miniature to small sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial with rounded, villous tubers giving rise to an erect stem carrying lanceolate-acuminate leaves that blooms in the late fall and early winter ona terminal, erect, 3 to 6 flowered inflorescence
