Found in Taiwan in moist grasslands and forest margins at elevations of 1200 to 1600 meters as a small to medium sized, cool growing terrestrial with ovate, oblong to lanceolate leaves that blooms in the spring on an erect, 2.4 to 8.8" [6 to 22 cm] long, 7 to 20 flowered, racemose inflorescence with lanceolate bracts carrying fragrant flowers
