Found in Borneo in upper montane forests at elevations of 1500 to 3400 meters as a small sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial withan erect stem provided with 5 or more leaf sheath bases carrying lanceolate to lanceolate-ovate , more or less adpressed to the stem, sharply acuminate, prominently sulcate mid nerve, above, and carinate beneath, gradually smaller above, basally clasping leave that blooms in the fall on an erect, 4.8" [12 cm] long, lax, to 10 flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, very long acuminate, as long as to longer than the ovary floral bracts
