Common Name The Orbicular Platanthera - in China Xi Zang Jioa Pan Lan

Found in Xizang province of China, Bhutan, and Sikkim in Valleys at elevations around 3700 meters as a mini-miniature to miniature sized, cold growing terrestrial with subglobose to ovoid tubers giving rise to an erecdt stem provided with a single tubular basal sheath and carrying 2 basal subopposite to cauline somewhat spaced and alternate, oblancolate to elliptic-oblong, adaxially with white reticulate markings, obtuse to acute, basally clasping leaves that blooms in the summer and ealy fall on an erect, peduncle cylindric, provided with 1 to several lanceolate, sterile bracts, rachis .4 to 1.6" [1 to 4cm] long, 1.6 to 5.6" [4 to 14 cm] long overall, secund laxly few to subdensely many flowered inflorescence with lanceoalteacuminate, much shorter to exceeding the ovary floral bracts and carrying erect flowers held close to the rachis.
