Common Name Buchanan's Platycoryne [Original Collector of Species 1800's]

Found in Burundi, Cameroon, Gabon, Zaire, Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe in poorly drained grassland, vleis and seepage slopes at elevations of 500 to 1850 meters as a slender, small to medium sized, warm to cool growing terestrial with leaves all along the stem, up to 5 cm, acting as bracts ascending and blooms in the summer on an erect, .6 to 2.2" [1.5 to 5.5 cm] long, densely 4 to 16 flowered inflorescence and has all orange or yellow flowers and ovaries.
