Common Name The Two Humped Platylepis [refers tothe humps at the base of the lip]

Found in northern Madagascar in highland forests at elevations of 600 to 1160 meterss as a small to medium sized, warm growing terrestrial with a fleshy rhizome giving rise to an erect stem carrying many, elliptical to oblong-lanceolate, acute, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the summer on an erect, glandular, terminal, peduncle short, provided with large villous glandular apically sheaths, rachis 1.2 to 1.6" [3 to 4 cm] long, oblong, densely many flowered inflorescence with 3 times longer than wide floral bracts that are longer than the flower.
