Found in Madagascar, Mauritius, Reunion and the Seychelles in humid montane forests at elevations of 1000 to 1600 meters as a miniature sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with an erect stem carrying 2, ovate, acuminate, basally clasping leaves that blooms in the winter and summer on an erect, densely many flowered inflorescence
