Found in Guyana, French Guiana, Surinam and Brazil in rain forests and open shrublands often close to rivers or streams at elevations of 50 to 500 meters as a miniature sized, hot growing twig epiphyte with laterally flattened, articulate, ensiform, usually linear-oblong to somewhat falcate leaves that blooms in the summer and fall on 1 to 4, lateral, 1 to 3 flowered shorter than the leaves inflorescence.
