Found in Espirito Santo state of Brazil at elevations of 400 to 600 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with cylindrical ramicauls carrying a single, elliptical-subspatulate, acute, minutely tridenticulate apically, attenuate below into the base leaf that blooms in the fall on an erect, arising through a small spathe at the base of the leaf, filiform, to 3" [7.5 cm] long, fractiflex, few flowered inflorescence with a short, amplexicaule, acute floral bract.
