Found in Espirito Santo state of Brazil at elevations around 700 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing, caespitose epiphyte with a very short, cylindrical, ramicaul carrying a single, aical, erect, coriaceous, elliptic, rounded and slightly retuse apically, canaliculate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms on an erect, longer than the leaf, arising through a spathe, peduncle, cylindrical, 1.2" [3 cm] long, rachis, .4" 1 cm] long, successsively single, 2 to 3 flowered inflorescence wth much shorter than the pedicel floral bract.

Similar to P miniatolineolata and P conspersa but differs from the first orchid in the twice larger plant, shorter ramicauls, shorter peduncle, flowers twice as large, shorter petals and a different echinate apex of the lip. From P conspersa it differs in the shorer ramicauls, half as wide leaves, twice larger flowers, glabrous sepals and petals and the different bicarinate, echinate apex of the lip. Chiron & Tesch 2016
