Common Name The Comayagua Pleurothallis [A department of Honduras]

Found in Alta Verapaz department of Guatemala and Comayagua department of Honduras in cloud forests at elevations around 1300 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing, repent epiphyte with ascending, slender ramicauls with 1 thin, tubular sheath and carrying a single, apical, coriaceous, prostrate, overlapping, broadly elliptical, obtuse, broadly cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms at most any time of the year on an erect to suberect, arising laterally from the ramicaul, congested, slender, .75" [1.8 cm] long including the .08 to .12" [2 to 3 mm] long peduncle, successively single, 2 to 4 flowered inflorescence with an oblique, shorter than the pedicel floral bract.
"Characterized by minute, broadly elliptical, overlapping, prostrate leaves produced in masses by a creeping rhizome. The flower is borne successively in a congested raceme shrter than the leaf. The petals are proportionally large with a rounded, thickened apex with several cilia present on the margin. The lip is basaically similar to P barbulata and its relatives, oblong, ciliate, channeled medially and bilobulate at the base." Luer 2006
