Common Name The Consanga Pleurothallis [A community in Napo province of Ecuador]

Found in Napo province of Ecuador at elevations around 1500 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte with fasciculate, erect ramicauls enveloped with a tubular sheath near the middle and 2 or more imbricating tubular sheaths at the base and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, elliptical, acute, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on a few, secund, simultaneously many flowered inflorescence arising through a spathe with an annulus and with oblique inflated, floral bracts.
"Readily distinguished by the thick ascending rhizome with long, close, slender ramicauls, an elliptical, petiolate base leaf and a fascile od racemes of small flowers shorter than the leaf. The tiny lip is most remarkable witha pair of erect, marginal, oblong, truncate lobes. The base is concave above the articulating cavity that is attached to the back surface of the free, bulbous tip of the column foot." Luer 1998
