Common Name Dunsterville's Pleurothallis [American Orchid Enthusiast]

Found in Nariño department of Colombia, Napo, Pichincha and Zamora-Chinchipe provinces of Ecuador, Cajamarca department of Peru and Tachira state of Venezuela at elevations of 1100 to 3000 meters as a medium sized, cool to cold growing, shortly repent to loosely caespitose epiphyte in humid forest with stout, erect ramicauls that are terete below the middle and slightly compressed above the middle and carrying a single, apical, rigid, coriaceous, erect to spreading, ovate, acute leaf that is carinate externally that blooms in the spring on erect, arising from a reclining spathe, in a fascile, 8" [2 cm] long, simultaneouslyly single, few to many flowered inflorescence with shorter than the pedicel floral bracts.
