Found in Zulia Venezuela in cloud forest at elevations of 1500 to 1800 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with more or less prostrate, prolific, branching, slender ramicauls enveloped by 2 to 3 closely adpressed, minutely ciliate lepanthiform sheaths and carrying a single, apical, prostrate to pendent, thickly coricaeous, broadly elliptical to suborbicular, obtuse to rounded, rounded and contracted below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on a loose, slender, .4" [1 cm] long including the .2" [5 mm] long peduncle, successively 2 flowered inflorescence arising from near the apex of the ramicaul
