Common Name The Meager Pleurothallis [refers to the plant size]

Flower Size .12" [3 mm]

Found in Monagas and Sucre states of Venezuela at elevations of 1100 to 1200 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing, caespitose epiphyte with slender, erect ramicauls enveloped at the base by 2 thin, tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, elliptical, subacute to obtuse, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on an erect, arising laterally from the ramicaul, congested, .4" [1 cm] long, successively few flowered inflorescence with as long as the pedicel floral bracts.

"The ramicauls are less than half as long as the elliptical leaves. The flowers are produced successively in 2 to 4 flowered racemes from the ramicaul by short peduncles. The flowers have a dorsal sepal and synsepal that are acute, the petals are broad and obtuse and the lip is entire and oblong. There appear to have been a marginal thickening as if there had been intramural callii on the middle third." Luer 2006
