Common Name Garcia's Pleurothallis [Venezuelan Collector of Species current]

Found in Carabobo state of Venezuela in montane forests at elevations of 300 to 500 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot growing, long-repent epiphyte with slender, ascending, triquetrous, suberect ramcauls with a loose tubular sheath at the base and carrying a single, apical, more or less spreading, coriaceous, ovate, subacute to obtuse, sessile and shallowly cordate base leaf that blooms in the later summer arising and concealed within a spathe at the base of the leaf, in a fascile of short, single flowered inflorescence witha s long to shorter than the ovary floral bract.
"Similar to P yauyauperyensis but differs in the broader shallowly cordate leaves, a larger solitary flower with a long-spathulate dorsal sepal, and a synsepal that is convex and pubescent above the middle. The lip is minutely serrate and the calli are smooth." Carl Luer 1999
