Common Name The Slender Inflorescence Pleurothallis

Found in Tachira state Venezuela and Norte de Santander department of Colombia at elevations of 2300 to 2650 meters as a miniature sized, cold growing, caespitose epiphyte with slender, ascending to erect ramicauls enveloped by a tubular sheath below the middle and 2 to 3 others at the base and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, elliptical-ovate, acute, slightly acuminate, sessile into the base leaf that blooms in the spring on arching-pendent, arising through a spathe at the base of the leaf, 1 to 1.6" [2.5 to 4 cm] long, fascile of single flowered inflorescence with a shorter than the pedicel floral bract.
"Characterized by the slender, ramicauls longer than the ovate leaves, The flowers are borne by long, arching, single flowered peduncles arising from the base of the leaf in a fascile. The dorsal sepal and synsepal are concave, the petals are acute and ciliate and the lip is cordate with the basal lobes flanking the column." Luer 1998
