Common Name or Meaning Johann's Pleurothallis [Veitch's Pleurothallis [English Nurseryman 1800's]

Found in the Mantiqueira Rain Forest Mountains of Minas Gerais Brazil in cracks on open rock in full sun at elevations around 1000 to 1500 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing, repent, lithophytic orchid with robust, thickly fleshy, erect, short ramicaul carrying a single, apical, erect, cylindrical, thick fleshy, canaliculate on top, acute apically, sessile base leaf that blooms in the summer on an erect, reddish to dark green, as long as to slightly longer than the leaf, 2.4 to 3.6" [6 to 9 cm] long, mostly simultaneous, 5 to 6 flowered inflorescence.

Very similar to P teres but differs in the shorter inflorescence, shorter sepals and flower color.
