Found in Sao Paulo state of Brazil in riparian forest at elevations around 950 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing, caespitose epiphyte with an inconspicuous rhizome giving rise to filiform, 2 articulate ramicauls provided with imbricate, ovedrlapping sheaths and carrying a single, green, erect, subcoriaceous, elliptic-lanceolate, acute apically, gradually narrowing below into the long-petolte base leaf that blooms at most any time of the year on a terminal, arising through a tiny spathe, peduncle cylindric, semierect, longer than the leaf, elongating, to 2" [5 cm] long, flexuous, zig-zag, successively single, few flowered inflorscence with triangular, acute floral bracts and carrying very small flowers.
Similar to Pleurothallis ghillanyi but differs in the smaller plant, non-sotted or stained leaves, a proportionally longer inflorecence smaller, lighter colored flowers.
