Flower Size

Found in Carchi province of Ecuador at elevations around 2000 meters as a miniature to small sized, cool to cold growing, repent epiphyte with terete ramicauls enveloped by7 2 to 3, tubular, papery sheaths and carrying a single, apical, lanceolate, acute, tridentate apicaly, sessile base leaf that blooms in the later spring on a fasciculate, ariosing through a papery spathe, peduncle terete, glabrous, 2.8 to 4" [7 to 10 cm] long, successively single, few flowered inflorescence with a tubular, as long as the pedicel floral bract

The vestigal lip of this species is reminiscent of P abortiva and P neossa
