Common Name Lehmann's Grandaughter's Pleurothallis [Colombian Orchid Collector in the later 1900's]
Flower Size .4" [1 cm]
Found in Valle de Cauca department of Colombia without locality as a miniature sized, warm growing, caespitose epiphyte with erect, stout ramicauls enveloped by a loose tubualr sheath and 2 shorter sheaths above the base and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, elliptical, obtuse, cuneate below into the sessile base leaf that blooms in the spring and summer on an erect, subtended by a spathe at the base of the leaf, loose, distichous, subflexuous, 2 to 4.4" [5 to 11 cm] long, simutaneously several flowered inflorescence with an infundibular, much shorter than the pedicel floral bract.
Very similar to P immersa but it differs mostly in the inflorescence which arises from the mid vein at the middle of the leaf instead of at the base of the leaf.
